Previously, I was a statistician at the National Center for Statistics and Analysis of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

I had already been working at NHTSA when I finished my Ph.D. in Social Science at the Institute for Mathematical Behavioral Sciences of the University of California at Irvine. The Institute is composed of faculty from various fields, including anthropology, cognitive science, economics, engineering, logic and the philosophy of science, management science, mathematics, political science, psychobiology, and sociology. My studies focused on applied statistics and mathematical modeling, including mathematical psychology, psychometrics, econometrics and Bayesian statistics, as well as on economics.

Before that, I received a Bachelor's in Engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. Before that, I was a Chemistry major at Brooklyn Technical High School.
